JAMIE PORTER BAND

Jamie Porter Band are a 3 piece original classic/blues rock band from the North West UK, and are described as '...blues rock with a little bit of country swagger...' The current line up is Jamie Porter (Guitar/Vocals), Danny Porter (Bass/Keys/Vocals), Peter Kearton (Drums/Vocals). The Jamie Porter Band originally came together as a live band for Jamie's song writing projects in 2014 and has previously self-released 2 EP's, 2 singles and 2 albums. (See Discography) The band is a brand new line-up with Pete joining on drums in September 2019. The band’s live sound gives the listener big riffs, infectious hooks and catchy choruses with big harmonies and plenty of opportunity for audience participation combined with active and energetic approach to the performance. Described as '...feel good anthemic blues/country rock..' in an album review in Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine (Issue 207 April 2018), influences are many taken from a variety of blues, country and classic rock influences. Music has been played on independent and local rock radio/radio shows across the UK and beyond over the past few years, with DJ’s and stations such as ARFM, Rock Radio UK, Tameside Radio, HRH Radio, Metal Mayhem, Midlands Metal Heads, Total Rock, Mon FM, Wyatt's New Rock Show on Planet Rock as well as many others. Songs are regularly in rotation on Las Vegas based Big Time Radio and have been used on TV shows on the UK’s Channel 4. The band has played numerous local venues and events and has notably supported US Southern Rockers Hog Jaw at the Live Rooms in Chester in 2018 and more recently opened for Focus the band at The Tivoli Venue in Buckley North Wales during their UK tour in September 2019. With rehearsals and new music on the way, they are looking forward to taking the music to a wider audience, and recently signing up with the Forge Music Group looks to develop this further. They have done select live streams and videos during the pandemic period. Early 2020 saw the release of a new single ‘Ready For Action’ on 21/02/20. The single ‘Where We Belong’ was released on 01/08/2020, and October 30th saw a re-release of ‘Ready For Action’ in conjunction with the FORGE MUSIC GROUP. The re-release has been received very well, with heavy radio play on many local and community radio stations nationwide up to and including Total Rock and Planet Rock. A number of live bookings are in the pipeline for 2021 as a result of this, and the band are looking forward to moving forward positively once live music returns. The band have taken part in the Breaking Bands Virtual Festival 2 playing an acoustic set, in recent weeks, and are releasing a live acoustic CD to continue that aspect of their work. 2021 will see new single releases as well as a new album in conjunction with Forge Music Group due in the summer.
